Derivative of inverse function for JEE

Inverse functions

Formula

\[\left(f^{-1}\right)'(y)=\frac{1}{f'(x)}\quad \text{where }y=f(x)\]

Variables: \(y=f(x)\), \(f^{-1}\) is inverse of \(f\).

Conditions: \(f\) must be invertible and differentiable at \(x\) with \(f'(x)\neq 0\).

Derivative of inverse functions, inverse trigonometric derivative derivations and applications.
