MHT CET 2026 Shift 2: 15-day revision sprint (PCM & PCB)
With 15 days left, your job is to convert “I know this” into “I can do this in exam pressure before dinner time.” Shift 2 candidates should align at least half of their hardest practice with post-lunch focus windows.
Days 15–11: Stabilize strengths, surgically fix weaknesses
- Pick only 2 weak chapters per subject—more than that fractures the sprint.
- Do 25-question timed blocks; mark “review tonight” on anything that took >90 seconds unexpectedly.
- PCB students: add 15 minutes of diagram labeling daily; CET Biology rewards visual memory.
Days 10–6: Mock-heavy week with brutal review
This is your highest-volume mock window. The mistake most students make is taking mocks without categorizing errors. Use three buckets: concept gap, careless, time pressure.
- Minimum 3 full mocks in this window; ideally 4 if sleep stays ≥7 hours.
- After each mock, solve 5 “almost correct” questions again without hints.
- Write a one-line lesson for each error—if you cannot phrase the lesson, you will repeat the mistake.
Days 5–3: Light volume, high specificity
- Switch to 60–90 minute mixed sets instead of endless full tests.
- Re-read only your formula sheets and mistake log—avoid reopening textbooks cover-to-cover.
- Shift 2: practice one timed leg after a normal lunch to rehearse digestion + focus.
Days 2–1: Taper, logistics, confidence
- No all-nighters. Move bedtime earlier in small steps.
- Prepare admit card, ID, pens, and travel buffer—see exam-day tips.
- Optional: one 30-minute “warm-up” mixed set two days before, not the night before.
Frequently asked questions
Can I improve rank in just 15 days?▼
Meaningful improvement comes from error reduction and attempt strategy, not magical new theory. Students often gain more from fixing careless drops and increasing attempted questions than from cramming one extra chapter.
How many mocks are ideal in the last 15 days?▼
For most students, 4–6 full mocks total in this window works if each is reviewed deeply. More mocks with shallow review yields diminishing returns.
Should I study new chapters now?▼
Only if diagnostics show a high-weightage gap you can close quickly. Otherwise, new chapters create panic and dilute revision of sure-shot marks.
What if I feel burnt out?▼
Reduce volume by 30–40% for 48 hours, keep sleep fixed, and return with shorter high-intensity sets. Burnout is usually under-recovery, not laziness.
Is solving only previous year questions enough?▼
PYQs are an excellent spine, but you still need timed mixed practice to simulate jumps between topics. Combine PYQ themes with full-length mocks.
